This is the eighth book in Ralph Bowman's "Revenge" series. Each of the books in this series contain short stories set during America's Frontier Period (1840-1890) and each story has a theme of revenge.(/br) "Revenge Of A Dead Man" is the story of a man and his family who are supposedly murdered, but the man survives and seeks revenge.(/br) "The Revenge Of A Philanderer's Wife" answers the question of how does a woman get revenge against her philandering husband when the law says that she cannot inherit his property and she has no money.(/br) "The Half-Breed's Revenge" tells the story of the son of a Pawnee warrior and a white woman getting revenge on the white man who murdered his parents.(/br) "The Husband's Revenge" is about an ex-bounty hunter who is after a gang who were responsible for his wife's death during a bank holdup.(/br) "The Lady's Revenge" shows how a nice lady can get revenge against two men who rob her.(/br) "Revenge On The Laughing Spy" takes place just after the Civil War. A northern spy reports a Confederate unit secretly operating in St. Louis and because of that, all but one of the unit are killed. The leader of the unit survives and goes after his revenge five years later.(/br)
