Five Dishonorable Men

[This book may only be purchased as a Kindle book or paperback through Amazon.]

A rich Texas rancher's daughter and 22 other women and children are kidnapped by a Mexican bandit known as El Diablo (the Devil) and taken to Mexico. The rich rancher gets a man who has been dishonorably discharged from the U.S. Army to lead four other dishonorable men into Mexico to get his daughter and the other hostages back.

Ralph started with the idea of a Mexican bandit crossing into Texas and kidnapping women and children and killing all of the men in the village. He was not sure how to develop the idea from there.

One day he was looking through the guide on his tv and on the same screen saw two of his favorite movies: "The Dirty Dozen" and "Magnificent Seven". That sparked the idea of having five men going after the Mexican bandit. The leader would be someone who was dishonorable discharged from the army and he would go to a prison to get the other four men, two of which were also dishonorably discharged for the same action as the leader.

After coming up with that idea, the story began writing itself. In several of Ralph's books he has thrown in an unforeseen twist. In this book he had two twists. The first twist is that three members of the group not only know the real identity of the Mexican bandit, but have worked with him. The second twist is that the Mexican bandit escapes from the army and the group has to go after him a second time.
