This is the fifth and final book in the "Slade - Gun For Hire" series. This series about Jack Slade is the fourth series Ralph has written which follow the exploits of one main character.
Ralph is very proud of this book because he believes this is the best "final" book in a series that he has written. He sincerely hopes you like it.
In this book Jack Slade has all new adventures while at the same time reconnecting with many of the people and places from the previous four books in this series.
Ralph has had emails from several persons who used the "Contact" email address on this website and asked why doesn't he just kill off the main character at the end of a series. The primary reason for that is that Ralph becomes extremely close to these main characters and to kill them off would be like killing a very close friend. A secondary reason is that he has toyed in his mind about bringing back that character many years after the series ended.
The last chapter in this book, "The Death of Jack Slade", is the closest Ralph will ever come to killing off one of his main characters.
