Standing Horse – Comanche Warrior

[This book may only be purchased as a Kindle book through Amazon or paperback on Amazon or Create Space.]

This has been the most difficult book Ralph has written.  What made the book difficult is the following: 1) Ralph wanted the character Standing Horse to be true to the recurring character created in the Johnny Ringo – Bounty Hunter series, 2) Ralph wanted the book to be as true as possible to actual Comanche customs and beliefs and 3) Ralph didn’t want it to be so truthful that those people who actually believe what they have seen in most western movies would not enjoy it.  It became a very tough tightrope to walk.

This book is written from the viewpoint of the Comanche.  When an Indian is addressing another Indian, such as “Standing Horse”, they do not shorten it to something like “Standing”.  Therefore, whenever Johnny Ringo and other white men in the story are described by the Comanche they use their entire name and not just their first name.
